>>>So, let me get this straight: the same guys whose latest and best computer operating system freezes up on a regular basis.

Yes it does, at least on my computer running Windows98, so bad that in January I went out and bought a tape backup to back up my home computer every day. I installed that fix last night to correct the timing error, but they are absolutly dreaming when they say that Window98 hangs up after 49.7 days...it's more like hours.

The first sign I notice on Window98 is it gets sluggish and the sound gets choppy...if I re-boot then I'm ok, but that's been hard to catch everytime.

And if you miss that, cutting power to the box is the only way to bring it back up...CTL, ALT, DEL does not work, neither does the ON/OFF button on the front of my box...we're talking unplug the machine.

So between Norton System Works, $50 and a Tape Back Up, $250...Window98 is working good for me for at least a day at a time. I'm hoping this fix works.
