Hi, all. Just discovered this interesting thread. Don't know if Toronto Dominion Bank (TD on both NYSE and TSE)has been mentioned yet. They have announced they will be spinning off 10% of their on-line brokerage business, which includes Waterhouse, the second largest on line broker in the U.S. I believe. The stock has had a nice run-up recently based on the news, going from about $40 ($60 Canadian) to $60 ($90 Canadian). It has now fallen back on profit taking to $52 ($80C), and IMO is a good buying opportunity. Tom
