My dear friend Michael, of course you could also use the cash generated from the ZITL short to enter a position in another stock as well. Were you to make a gain there, would you add that profit to the ZITL percentage? I think of it as a new position, although it's in the same name. In the end though, it's all theory. All that matters to me is the percentage gain (or loss god forbid) in my entire portfolio at the end of each month, quarter, and year.
