What he told me was the halt would happen _BEFORE_ the announcement is made. How can you manipulate the price? Isn't that effectively the same as announcing after the market close, only without the publicity the halt would generate? Brian >>If the news is out, no reason for a halt. The only reason for a halt would be so that BII can have a big impact. That's stock price manipulation in a sense.
