Just a question of clarification as to the purported arbitrage. If the 'recent layer 3switch ipo' was EXTR, I was under the impression that you couldn't short an ipo for an initial period of time. I must be misinformed on this? Is there another co. this could have been? Don't underwriters often support a stock when it is first released? Sounds like a risky short if the co. is viewed approvingly by the street. Of course it sounds like this thing was to take place over only a couple of days, so....? Sounds a bit baffling to me, but many of the arbitrage moves are 'beyond my calibration'.;-) Regis
