Senthil, If they dump products as soon as margins thin, customers get upset. Some reasonable measure of continuity is expected. Why else would anyone buy Zip machines built in or added throughout an office/firm, etc. So they should support Jaz until they provide a good replacement or it becomes a real loser. What if the automakers only sold new cars and no parts or service were available? You don't dump a product when you have a large installed base needing disk media and continued handholding. Brand recognition and value is based on the commitment of the company to its customers as well as the quality of the product.
