Yep, that is right. The last bastion for graphics cards is being dominated by Nvidia. Once Integrated chipset/graphics chips hit the mainstream for Celron/Sub $500 PCs, from Intel, SIII/Via, SIS and Micron , ATI will be put out to pature if they don't have their version out soon. With the Sub $500 PCs, all that matters is cost.
Very interesting. I think we can now understand Goldmans motivation the past couple of days in shorting the price down. 288k cross at $21.80. It's still a little hard to believe they would dump 300k to do a mere 300k cross. Because of this, I believe there may be more coming from them, otherwise I would have expected active accumulation to cover. It's worth following closely because once they're done, the price should rebound nicely. |
