I don't know where you've been getting your info from, but what I've read has stated that the Kosovars have been using tractors with trailers as a normal course of evacuation/escape/ethnic cleansing.

I've heard of 0 reports of Serbs being stupid enough to travel in armored columns.

The pilot stated that he got a very good look and then decided(?) they were the folks burning the homes. He must have been much closer than 10,00 feet to be able to make that judgement.
