All/ After having built my dream (well...) desktop, I now need to turn my attention to a dream laptop. Do any of you have a suggestion for a laptop that:
- is tough
- has a 1024 X 768 (or better, if it exists) active panel
- has a switchable bay (floppy to battery, etc.)
- doesn't have that goofy pointing knob buried in the keys

Brute CPU power isn't high on the list.

I know most laptops are not really upgradeable, but are there good exceptions?
