I respond occasionally on this thread when I feel I can offer something
or passion takes over.Passion has taken over.I cannot understand how so many Americans on this thread are so negative on this forced action against Yugoslavia.
Yes, the world could have moved in to stop the genocied in Cambodia,
Rouwanda, and a few other places, it did not.Does that mean the world should never intervene, ever. Better late than never.IMHO
Milosevic started his destruction of his country 11 years ago.Serbs talk of the forced expulsion of Serbs from Croatia but that was after Milosevic invaded Croatia and lost a war. It was a tragedy, it should have been stopped, it was not.Milosevic took away provincial self rule from the Kosovars 10 years ago. They were 85% of the population. How could he not expect there to be trouble.Titov was smart enough. Not
Milosevic.I believe if America and it's NATO allies did not take on this great responsibility the whole Muslim world would have!Creating
a much bigger mess. The US should be given the upmost respect and support for leading this noble cause. If our world is to one day be truly called civilized we must take charge and not allow actions such as Milosvic has thrust upon his people.IMOH
