You are right about nerves of steel. About the unlimited risk: I dont think it makes a lot of difference if you are a short term player. During a momentum play, bulls and bears can lose equal amount of money.

Look at NINE. It has nearly doubled. I'd say it's worth a short at 13+ short term, of course. Even if it rises higher, you can always wait for the inevitable correction. I dont think there is a lot of risk at 13+

Another strategy:
Place limit sell Short orders 100 at 13, 200 at 14, 300 at 15
Change the qty and step size to whatever is comfortable for you.

I'm assuming 15 is the maximum it will go to and 13 is the minimum. Change the numbers to suit your estimates. In any case I wouldnt think it'll rise above 18 (200% is an extremely strong psychological selling threshold)
