Do you use a cutter, or form the biscuits by hand? There's something about the rubbly exterior of "handies" that takes me back to Sunday morning breakfasts with the whole family in my grandma's tin roofed, Mississipii ( . . .crooked letter, crooked letter, humpback, humpback, i) home.

Popeye's: their biscuits, and red beans and rice are real foods that transcend the whole fast food vibe. Wonder how they do that? Damn they're good.

p.s. Crisco is all I ever saw in her kitchen.
