Hilite Industries, Inc. designs, manufactures and sells a line of highly engineered products primarily for automotive applications, including brake valves, power transmission components and specialty components and assemblies. For the six months ended 12/31/98, net sales rose 2% to $42.6 million. Net income rose 36% to $2.4 million. Revenues reflect increased sales of valves for GM cars. Earnings also reflect higher margins due to changes in sales mix.
