This one came from an employee at Amazon. I can't mention particulars but I thought I would mention it because this time it fits with the events up until now and the recent analyst upgrades. I think a split is likely - Amazon is almost forced into it by the strategy and debt they have taken on. Beside, why not keep things rolling upward during this "window of opportunity" as Bezo put it. I give this about a 75% chance of happening. It is still a guess as I have heard rumors in the past from other sources that didn't pan out. I give this source a high degree of reliability - but they may still be wrong or Amazon could change their minds.
