I agree with your analysis but this is precisely why it makes increasing sense for the big pharma's to use their $45 mil to buy into the threat of the future rather than a lame directionless attempt at competition. I am long INCY and spoke with another investor yesterday. We played the following game... First question: What can derail INCY? After 2 hours we came up with - Nothing other than a buyout. Second question: Why is the obvious (to us) potential of INCY not reflected in the price? Answer: Either my/our understanding of INCY's business model is totally flawed or most analyst's understanding of INCY are flawed. It appears few/no analysts follow INCY at this point. I would appreciate any help on these questions.
