brees--- In this instance, the pirate reference is rather cute...Look, I believe in measured intervention. I do not think this was a responsibly executed operation, but I would prefer that we aim at some kind of half- a -loaf outcome, to either continuing on the present course, or packing- up in defeat. Since I have not supported the Administration per se, but have been concerned that NATO clean up its mess, and try to salvage some credibility, I do not see why you persist in calling me a pirate. In fact, now that I think of it, I am not even precisely sure what you mean in the first place... Anyway, why should people assume the worst of their government without greater evidence? I start with the assumption that all sources are subject to varying degrees of doubt, and that some bias is inevitable. I further assume that it ill- becomes one to assume the worst of one's people or government without a substantial case being built, especially if one has reason to respect one's country, as I believe we do. Therefore, I do not know what you expect the citizenry to do when diverse and authoritative sources are supporting this action, even if only in a qualified way. There is no reason to accuse them of acquiescing in atrocities...
