Richard : It is the same one, indeed. And, as you see, I can also entertain the idea of conspiracies.

But, why I don't believe in the gold price conspiracy is that I don't see the reason for it. My own analysis shows me that it is correctly priced in relation to its trend from 1978 and the value of the currencies. Furthermore, I find it hard to believe that the people who own the most gold, or are friends of the gold owners, are allegedly the ones who are conspiring to lower its price.

Imagination is one thing, but one has to guard against paranoia. Unfortunately the goldbugs, who got on the train facing the wrong way, believed, for the past three years at least, that gold was going up and the market was going down. In view of such a manifestly wrong perception of the world, reinforced by the pronouncements of their "false prophets" and "Pied Pipers", I suppose it is only natural for them to believe that there is a conspiracy against them. Especially when they must have been financially hammered so hard by their faulty judgement.

Thanks for the good wishes which are heartily reciprocated. It is a lovely, sunny day in Joburg.
