<<Your bet is that they are under-expected, so you should be happy that you're ahead of the Street.>>

Yes, but I first bought over 2 years ago. A little thing called an earnings warning killed us on 8/27/98 (60+% drop in 1 day).

<<You can't legally know what may be critical.>>

Absolutely true, but having met and talked to management and toured their facilities, I was able to glean some parts of their direction and prospects (looking at writing on whiteboards and the names on the boxes in the wiring racks and talking to techs helps).

<<The development process takes time so initially you take a small
position.>>

Too late for that advice for me, but hey I've been trading this $5-$10 range well, so I am almost back in the black again.

<<Hell, you did all this fundamental stuff. Put it to your advantage. You will be buying tops and with a growing story, that's a winning script.>>

With almost any other company you are exactly right - and you will be right with MRVC too, but expect it to take a bit longer. With MRVC's heavy "baggage" with the street due to the secondary and convertible debt offerings, and by Noam pre-announcing Q3 shortfall on a Thursday (the worst market day of 1998) and not setting up a CC until Monday (by which time the stock was under $6, it will take time to get past this. A number of institutions got burned and they will be unforgiving - to the extent of shorting price rises.
