Electronic Business Ranks Top 20 Best Small Electronics Companies
NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 1999--Entrepreneurs define the electronics industry, but what separates the most successful from the also-rans?
In its April 1999 issue, Electronic Business magazine released its annual ranking of the best small electronics companies. An accompanying article draws on the experiences of a number of leading small firms to provide insight for their peers and potential customers.
"Our editors canvassed the industry and we scoured many databases and to come up with this list of outstanding companies," said Electronic Business Publishing Director Bruce Rayner. "We selected the companies based on their track record of recent financial performance as well as They are indeed the cream of the crop."
In making its selection, the magazine considered both private and public companies that had been in business for at least three years and had revenue of less than $250 million in 1998. From an initial list of over 400 companies, Electronic Business editors and researchers narrowed the field by considering top-line growth, as well as number of other objective and subjective factors. The final list represents a broad range of markets and technologies.
