James,

I think that team Clinton/Albright have just about
managed to ruin everything that the Reagan and Bush
years managed to accomplish such as an end to the
Cold War, strengthening the UN as a place to settle
disputes, and creating an era of economic, not military
competition throughout the world.

When George Bush decided that he had to stop Saddam
Hussain's grab for the Persian Gulf oil, he went to
both the United Nations and the American people. He
explained why Iraq had to be stopped. He got approval
from the UN to remove Iraq from Kuwait, and he convinced
the American People (except for the liberal loons) that
this war was a necessary evil but that we had to triumph.
Now we have Clinton fumbling around the Balkans, afraid
to ask permission from the UN (knowing they would vote
against him), mumbling explanations to the American
People, and bombing Yugoslavia without any clear goal
or explanation of what we hoped to accomplish. This
whole situation is a disaster...
