taxman, Could it be that Microsoft will actually benefit from Y2K related fears. If Windows2k is released in early October, could it be the slowdown in the hardware sales that Sun is worried about may be related to plan to switch to a Microsoft platform by many corporations. Just a possibility.

I still think Office2k and Windows2k popularity is being underestimated by most analysts and media types. They generally get caught up in the Linux hype not realizing what the reality is. I think MSFT is going to have an phenomenal year but am not sure of the stock----it will be suspectible to the general market conditions late year----we might get Y2K fear related big time selling. That is one reason I have not been buying leaps yet. I am expecting it do great right up until July at least. (However too much depends upon the market conditions at this point---MSFT is not an island although it should be IMHO)
