I just posted the following reply to Mike Jacobs on the Motley Fool's web site:

Mike,

When operating within their business model, they will have gross margin about 20%, net margin in the mid-single digits.

I listened to the same call, and I can tell you I would sell all my shares immediately if Iomega thought their gross margin was only going to be 20% going forward.

For the just completed Q1 1999, Iomega's gross margin was 24.3% or $93.7 million on revenues of $386.2 million.

Robert Simmons actually said they expected gross margins in the mid to high 20% bracket with net margins in the mid single digits for the third and forth quarters of 1999.
