Of these 3.2M ESTs, how many do you suspect represent unique genes and how many are from brain? My suspicion is that many are repeat sequences, possibly of the more common genes. Any comments as to how these ESTs can be valued if they represent common sequences vs that of genes expressed at less than 0.01% of the total mRNA in the respective tissue? BJ
