Regarding this past week. . .

Read my posts about the games. . .especially the story called "Mouthfull Between Bites" . . .not only was it manipulated, but it appears that at least a dozen online brokerage houses were simultaneously unable to place orders on Wednesday morning, either electronically or by phone. . . .this made it impossible for the smart traders to get out at the highs. . . for me, by the time I was able to place a trade, the stocks I wished to trade were at their lows for the day.

I was told that stop losses were not working either. . .making losses even worse. I placed a buy in a stock on Thursday and was unable to cancel the buy, even after a dozen tries over several hours. . . when the market was dropping, on DLJ, you could buy, but not sell or cancel, evidently.

You heard me call the end of the irrational exuberance almost to the day. . .but I never anticipated such a well organized and well executed trick. The moment everyone was feeling great, suddenly the bottom dropped out of the internet stocks on Wednesday morning and we could not sell until after they hit bottom.

That's about the size of it.
