Hi all, It would appear that the rebel delegation walked out of the latest round of peace talks however this report appeared on BBC world service today regard World: Africa Uganda and DR Congo leaders meet Libyan television says the leaders of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda -- which backs the rebels in Congo's civil war -- have met for talks in Tripoli. It said the Libyan leader, Colonel Muammar Gadaffi, first met the Congolese president, Laurent Kabila, and his Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Musevni, separately and then hosted a joint meeting. No details of their discussion were reported. Earlier in the day, low-level peace talks between the Congolese rebels and government on technical issues were broken off early. The rebel delegation from the Congolese Rally for Democracy walked out of the discussions in Zambia, complaining that they had been given no time to scrutinise the agenda or propose changes to it.
