Would a good laugh make anyone feel better? Read this:

I just looked at the history of analyst changes on onsl. You can find them here:

biz.yahoo.com

However, here's a few choice tidbits:

1. On January 5, 1999 Adams Harkness downgraded the stock. It was at $41. On January 8th, it hit $60 intraday. GREAT CALL.

2. On November 2, 1998, Raymond James downgraded. It was around $17. On November 24, it was at $44. You know what happened the next few days. <ggg> GREAT CALL.

3. On October 20, 1998, BancBoston downgraded. It was $14. By November 24, as noted above, it was $44. GREAT CALL.

4. On April 1, 1998, Everen initiated coverage with NT market perform and LT outperform. It was around $33 then. By the end of April, it went down to $23. GREAT CALL.

5. On April 22, 1998, Everen upgraded to NT outperform. The stock promptly dropped from $33 to $23. GREAT CALL.

I'm not saying that they're not right this time. However, with a track record like theirs, no wonder they're analysts and not investors. They'd lose their ass if they ever tried to put their money where their mouths are (probably very close to the rear ends of the shorts).

Feeling a tiny bit better now.
