Neenny, that is not just or justified. I am going to stick my neck out in public to say that Len has been a damned good friend to me in PMs when I needed a friend, no matter how much we sparred here and elsewhere. I think he cares very much about some people. I suspect that some awesomely nasty experiences have jaundiced his views on the possibility of lasting love as you and I think of it and know of it. (My God, isn't this where I came in last October, when Len accused me of being psychotic? Laughter....) I don't think that you or I would be happy with Len as a lover. But in a fight, I'd always want him guarding my back and I have learned to respect him highly. Moreover, I think that his friends can trust him. Let him ride his hobby horse. I wish and hope for him to discover a loving companionship that lasts. I wish this as a friend who wants his happiness. Neenny, I know you are teasing. I'm taking this time not to scold you--God forbid! I know what a dear person you are!--but because I have learned to my horror that sometimes the teasing can have barbs we don't know when we fling them.
