RDM, Re your spread sheet,

Very well done :)

It mostly agrees with CC and all the available info. Just a few thoughts,

The ASP of $120 for the mobile K6 is too high. The question of how much premium these chip carry was asked during the CC. The answer was, "they carry a small premium". I think the ASP for the mobile is closer to $95. Also the number of 700,000 is also high. All the notebooks offered by the tier 2 and tier 3 OEM's are not based on the mobile version, just the regular, less expensive normal version.

Only 100,000 for K6 333 and less? I hope you are right but that seems too low. Both Compaq and IBM (in addition to many other tier 2 and tier 3 OEM's) still offer machines based on these chips. Also the "mix" of the chips shipped to Asia and Europe is lower. That means that a lot of K6 333 and K6 300 are shipped to OEM's who sell outside of US. I am guessing around 400,000.

I also hope that AMD ships more than 300,000 K6 III's. Of course Sanders just said "hundreds of thousands".

All and all I think my guess for total ASP's is around $90 with about 5.2 million chips shipped. A shot at breaking even IMO.
