Although so far I I already bought more than a dozen books from Amazon, and I am also happy with their services. However, even since some other more aggressive vendors with lower pricing strategy came out, I really wonder how long Amazon can last. In retail book market, there is no dominate power. Whoever provides lower price, consumers will just go with it. Basically there is no difference buying a book from Amazon or Buybook.com. It is foreseeable, Amazon super bubble will burst sooner or latter. IMHO, it will happen by the end of this year, maybe earlier. Unless you are extremely confident with your timing, probably it is more rational not to bet on it in this level.
