Neither side in the American Civil War considered the other its ancestral enemy, yet the Union engaged in a bitter war to prevent the secession of the Southern states.

Now Kososvo decides to take up arms in a struggle to wrench the territory from Serbian control. Serbia's enemy to the south provides assistance as a base of operations and a source of arms for the insurrection. These are the same people who 50 years ago, under the Nazi's, attempted to exterminate the Serbs and the Jews. Next, Madeline Albright comes along, and tells the Serbs to give up the territory, or else.

How do we think we'd react in their shoes.
