Larry, actually I don't think some very smart money decided to get out. I believe it was some very dumb money, that is the mutual fund managers who decided to take their profits and go chase other "hot" stocks. These are the same managers who have proven they are not very smart by underperforming the S & P 500 index for he last 6-7 years (85% of mutual funds have steadfastly underperformed that index during this time). They will get back in when they perceive it to be "safe" and will once again have missed out on the bulk of Dell's run-up in share price. I could care less whether Dell is in a short term down-trend or uptrend. My investing focus has been and continues to be long-term, it has rewarded me most handsomely and I expect it to continue. I will sell Dell when it's fundamentals IMO no longer support my investment in the stock. Do I expect Dell to continue growing @ 50%, don't be ridiculous, but I do believe there will be solid growth of 30-40% for some time to come, with the occasional 50+% quarter. Actually, I take some of that back, I do care when Dell is in a short-term downtrend, since I use it to add to my position. I find your posts amusing and at times informative as I do appreciate diversity on the thread. BTW your Hal and I share the same name, so let me know whether he has learned to raise his leg yet! Regards and aloha.
