Yea, damn them rookies!
1) They build a very profitable company.
2) They develop a leading edge fuel cell that has the potential to certainly add to, if not dramatically change the fuel cell "as we know it".
3) They get a major company like Delphi to get in.
4) They keep this major news quiet enough that the entire market was surprised, i.e., this did NOT leak out which I am amazed at. (Damn I hate those reputable companies with high standards!)
5) They win Canadian Export Award for 1998.
6) They become a world leader in manufacturing and sales of generators that use heat to directly produce electrical power since starting the company in 1975.
7) They become a truly "global" company, with 70% of revenues generated outside of Canada, with offices in Canada, the U.S.A. and China. Thermoelectric generator orders were made in India, China, Argentina, Thailand and Brazil. Total international sales were almost double the level recorded in th prior year. Sales of generators into the U.S. and Canada were up by 45% last year.
8) In July 1997, they signed a fuel cell agreement with Forschungszentrum Julich, one of the largest research institutes in Germany. This institute is one of the world's leading authorities on solid oxide fuel cells.
9) To accelerate the fuel cell program, they leased an additional 6,300 square feet of office and lab space in Calgary.
10) Fiscal year ending March 31, 1998 was the best year ever recorded by Global, with revenue up by 69 percent from the prior year.
11) Net income was more than triple the 1997 amount.
Yep, they're rookies alright!!!! <GGG!!!>
Do your homework Norm.....or to meet a possible alternate explanation for you being here....your efforts here are looking "somewhat transparent".
