I need to have both. Can't have a cable modem w/o cable. I use cable for CNBC during the day because it's more convienant. The dish's picture though blows away cables. I love the music channels, no commercials, no DJs just nice clean digital music. I listen to the reggae, blues and classic jazz fairly regularly.
