Well, then that means that the "new economy" is COMPLETELY a result of our stock market. Because with a legitimate company, a CEO cannot ignore profitability. If he did, the company would soon run out of cash and go bankrupt!

However, if the mass of newbie internut investors are willing to give an endless supply of "money to burn" to any company that has ".com" attached to its name, then I suppose CEOs dont have to worry about mundane things like profits. They can just keep taking money from the public to fund ever-increasing losses. (While they quietly cash in their billions in stock options, keeping their old hondas parked out front so the public doesnt realize they are being duped)

Well, I suppose this COULD be a new type of economy, except for the small problem that it will quickly collapse, and take a devestating toll on our entire economic system. I guess I am the only person that is worried about this? :(
