LU does not seem to be losing ground if they are growing their revenue by $6 billion this year (versus what? 3 billion?). I am very familiar with the teams in place as well. The founders of Cascade have left, just as the early CSCO people have left. The perception of a mass exodus is purely hype. The employees at ASND are excellent and have the same motivation to stay as CSCO employees. Do you think that CSCO employees stay because of any reason other than stock price? If you do, you live in a fantasy world. It is about $. Better technology exists all around them at the start-ups. The same thing holds true for ASND. The vast majority of those that left did so before the stock doubled (prior to the acquisition...ASND stock has gone from 23-90 over the past 14 months). This only became public knowledge because of the wild success of Sycamore and the hype laid down by Chambers. The perception that LU is losing ground to CSCO is purely hype. There will be a battle between the two companies for the next several years and there will be enough business available for both companies to keep their growth rates on the move. If you have any facts that can back up why a company that is growing at 25% is a good buy at 70 times next years earnings and everyone should flee another because of supposed hype that is growing at a 20% clip and is valued at 40-45 times next years earnings, that will help here. IMO, both companies are here to stay and are valued at a high level because of the industry and company revenue potentials for the next 3-5 years.
