jb, E*Trade is in the building phase of the company and showing too much profit at this time is an indication that management doesn't know what to do with revenue. The value is future value based on their model which has been to gain market share, beat the competition, and build a full service on line brokerage. I'm not saying profits are bad, just that profits aren't critical at this time. cd
