They dumped their ad agency about a month ago apparently. There was a discussion here about that... some people that it implied they might have a weak qtr. At that time, I hadn't seen the ads. Now I think they just feel they need a better agency/concept, I agree. I also think changing ad strategy and ad agencies is too long term to really be an indication of how things are going in the current qtr.

All the online brokerages have great commercials... Discover is the best, but e-trade has that "but I'm 58" spot which is funny, even Ameritrade changed their lame 8-bucks ads to some new ones where a guy with pink hair is photocopying his face and gets called in the bosses office to show him how to trade with Ameritrade. Amzn needs ads like the brokerages have.
