rizzoli, the strand, shakespeare & co, three lives, bleecker bob, vinylmania, yes...ok & tower, virgin, hmk: finally, the franchise world of music became a labor of love.
i accept that anonymity, the way i accept "absentee ownership"; at least, i can still rifle through physical things & "interact" in real time, real audio, and real video.
i will never find satisfaction buying music or books online.
convenience, i guess so, when time permits nothing else, it's a viable option. but, it is not my choice, and frankly, i don't relish a time in my life when it becomes my choice by default.
the same with ebay.... sure, one can find almost anything, but searching is not the same as looking, or "hunting".
the rewards just aren't there; it becomes simply an "acquisitive act".
where's the joy in that? |
