There is nothing wrong with day trading, but what I've found is that many times I'll make great gains on one stock, and then the next and then the next, and then turn around and lose it all on the next and I'm back where I was. For most of my long term goals, I just use mutual funds and stocks I have set up in DRIP programs and go for the steady, slowly but surely route.

Get rich slow.
