Thanks Topstock, but I am not sure that there is anything of value there for me. I found no useful info at the VMF site, but perhaps I have missed something of significance. I am a bit tired and have little time, so if there is something specific that you wish to point out, I would appreciate it.

For the rest, as I understand it, Mr Fossen worked as a VP for Life Investors Insurance Co for 13 years, apparently doing a stellar job. Life Investors subsequently joined the Aegon Insurance Group, who has a current stock price of $87 11/16. You then say:

""Lets Hope William Fossen can do it again.""

I have missed your point here I am afraid. Could you please clarify?

I find the following, again from the 10 KSB, more relevant:

Fossen formed his own family company, National Investors Holding Corporation, in 1983 which has owned various operations including a small life insurance company. The company is now inactive. Fossen took over Viking Capital in 1989 and began its full management in 1994.

We know that Viking has not been very successful by any standard financial measurement, ie revenue and profit, but I would like to know what happened to the company that he formed in 1983, which is now inactive. It appears that he has had a long, and certainly at times, successful career. However for my own purposes, the last 16 years that he has had control of companies, would appear to be the most significant.

Sole control brings much more challenge and responsibility than any other role, regardless of the title. I am sure that we have all known someone that was highly successful while working for someone else, but was not able, for whatever reason, to make the adjustment to running a business on their own.

Now I am not implying anything negative towards Mr Fossen, or that he will not be successful, however I am still looking for the information that will entice me to buy this stock. My DD continues, somewhat slowly.

Regards,

Dan

ps: Do you know if they are going to correct the wording on the website?
