The guys at the helm only have 3/4 of their heart in this business.
Much of CPQ's senior management is both young and hungry. Rose is only in his 40's and has been with CPQ about 5 years. He has really only hit the top tier in the last 2 years. I have heard that he sleeps only a few hours a night and works 18 and 20 hour days. None of EP's reports is an "old-timer" and most have been at CPQ for 5 years or less. Likewise the next tier down has a lot of "young turks" although there is also IMO some deadwood inherited from DEC which ought to be cleaned out.
