How would you ever know whether your meaning was external, real, and objective, since whatever you perceive is through your meaning structure?

Your interpretation of what you perceive is affected by your "meaning structure". But your perceptions themselves can be neutral. If there could be no unfiltered perception then even Thomas Kuhn's scientists would never make a paradigm shift.

Conversely, if there is external, real, objective meaning wouldn't that also be imprinted on your internal world as you are a real being like the rest of nature?

Sure. The Catholic scholastics called this "natural law", but they may have lifted it out of Aristotle.
