Exactly my point. Glad you agree. I've followed your comments
a bit on various threads and value your opinion.

Me either, in my much more limited experience. But I did
survive an audit at the end of which the IRS auditor shook
my hand and said "We're accepting your taxes as filed."
Damn right. They were as honest as I could make 'em.
I must say, though, except for the obvious anxiety, it
was relatively painless and the IRS folks were polite,
tough, and fair. I have no problem with any of this
(especially polite <g>).

Yep. That's why I don't want to add an explanation for
within-year wash sales.
