Never is pretty strong; no one can crystal ball the future. If the
temperature of 600 C is a concern for the SOFC then why is it a
concern ? What is the cylinder temperature of an internal combustion engine ? Was it believed to have been not feasible at one time as well? Who is to say that SOFC will never evolve to
operate at close to room temperature one day ? Also, why would Delphi
allow its name to be associated with GLE if there is no possibility
of using SOFC for (auto)mobile use. I recall GM stating that they
were working with their own fuel cells when Daimler and Ford
struck agreements with BLD. What ever came of their fuel cells
efforts? Did they learn something that prompted them to seek
a new direction ? Is the GLE agreement a powerplay to
keep BLD et al away ? If so, why did Delphi pick GLE ? What were
the compelling reasons ?

Regards.
