also to elwood from jake.none of this changes the present sorry state of the industry.furthermore if cpq is going to report non fiddled numbers now that the liars are gone(the very same people who were running the show when you got into this idea) the numbers won't look good for some time.an epic price war has been under way and will get worse if cpq is to do what is needed to crush gtw ,muei and yes even dell.this won't be pretty .IF cpq rallies on this news it is a gift.you should sell.i intend to,and i don't own any. if it declines it is still a sale.why own a pc stock.show me the profits and the barriers to entry.how much did cpq make last year and what were they supposed to make in 1998 (as of q4 1997)? it is a lousy business.period.
