Vancouver Sun says MDU signs up First Hotel
MDTV is currently engaged in deploying high speed internet access with Hilton Hotel.

The Vancouver Sun reports in its Friday edition that MDU Communications, which wires multiple-dwelling buildings for satellite television and other services, has signed up its first hotel. Reporter William Boei says the Hilton Vancouver Airport Hotel, scheduled to open in June, has named MDU as its exclusive provider of digital television and high-speed Internet service for its 237 suites. MDU, based in the Vancouver suburb of Richmond, is a national distributor of Star Choice, one of Canada's two authorized satellite television services. It is also preparing to offer wireless Internet access. Hotel manager Tim Mashford says the agreement makes the Hilton Vancouver Airport the first hotel in Canada to be wired for the 21st century. The hotel will also offer guests pay-per-view movies. MDU is the first company to sign up multiple-dwelling buildings for satellite television in competition with conventional cable television systems.
