can one use these to send or receive email, trade stocks or connect to the internet when you are not in reach of a regular computer? Microsoft seems to compete much better with Palm in that area. CE is used in a handful of sub-notebook machines that are much smaller than regular notebooks, but bigger than the PDAs. Here are a couple of examples: Sharp: sharp-usa.com HP: hp.com Compaq: compaq.com I played with the Sharp version a few weeks ago and was impressed. It has a keyboard that's actually usable and a screen big enough to read or compose an email message easily. Most of the reviews I've seen are neutral to negative on the CE devices, but all say they're improving rapidly.
