The Inktomi Search Engine processed approximately 2.2 billion search queries during the quarter, a roughly 22 percent increase over the prior quarter's 1.8 billion search queries. Inktomi augmented its Search Engine customer roster worldwide by adding companies such as BellSouth, Global Datatel and GoProfit in the United States as well as Europe's Chello Broadband, Gruppo Espresso and swiss.com.
