I wish Apple got their act together about selling Macs in this part of the World (Australia). The only place to buy a Mac in Canberra is a store on the Australian National University campus in the ground floor of the offices of the University's consulting/commercialization arm. It's nice enough but not only it isn't in a shopping centre it is right at the periphery of campus. The sign on the store is on the side of the building point away from the main road which passes on the other side of the building. Apple stopped distribution here through non-specialist retailers. So those retailers dropped Apple compatible software as well. To me its a big mistake even if the people in the store weren't as knowledgeable as they might have been.
