SAFLINK Named One of the Fastest Growing
ISVs for Windows by Microsoft Corp. and CMP

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19,
1999--SAFLINK Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of
The National Registry Inc. (NASDAQ: NRID), announced
today that it has been selected as one of the year's fastest
growing software companies for Windows in North America.
The first-ever "Winning on Windows" ranking of the top 75
fastest growing independent software vendors (ISVs) was
sponsored by Microsoft Corp. and Information Week. More
than 10,000 companies were evaluated by Reality Research,
Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CMP Media, and the
winners were announced last night at a reception in Chicago at
the Spring Comdex/Windows World Show.
SAFLINK was twenty-six in the ranking. The selection criteria
used by Reality Research for the "Winning on Windows" award
included 70% or greater revenue derived from Windows-based
products and at least $100,000 in total revenue in the base
year, 1997. The companies were then selected and ranked
according to the highest percentage revenue growth between
1997 and 1998.
